Tips for effectively dealing with the media – training workshop

Trainers: international experienced professionals used to dealing with the media in their daily work.
Concept: This interesting and informative workshop will be run by experienced professionals used to dealing with the media in their daily work.
- The 1-day workshop will begin with a brief introduction to its content and what we hope to achieve. It will continue with interactive exercises involving media interviews and feedback.
- You will learn how to create your key messages in preparing for the interviews and in delivering them at the interviews.
- Are you aiming to attract the news media attention with your media release, including all five W's and an eye-catching headline? If yes, come to the training workshop.
- General guidelines on use of social media will also be addressed.
A detailed programme will become available in summer when we know the number of participants, their motivations, and their specific aims.
This 1-day training workshop is for participants of the EMS Annual Meeting 2018.
It will take place in one of the side meeting rooms (will be determined by the end of June) on
Thursday, 6 September 2018.
Duration: 9:00–18:00.
Target group: If you are interested in attracting news media attention with your media release or want to improve your performance at an interview or would like to get expert advice on how to use social media or want to learn how to create a key message or … then you will benefit from participating in the workshop.

Registration via the the online registration form is necessary.
Participation is by pre-registration only. The workshop may be cancelled in the event of low registration numbers. An early bird rate is available until 5 June 2018.
We would very much appreciate it if participants registering for the workshop would send us a short letter about what motivates them to attend the workshop and whether there is anything in particular they want to train or learn about. (The email address will be provided shortly.)
